About our princpal
Byron Edwards is the Principal of Diftar LLC. He began his career at The Boston Consulting Group, advising Fortune 500 companies in finance and aerospace on operations and product development, and later worked for the CFO of WeWork on $5 billion in financings and global pricing strategy.
In 2020, he co-founded Spark, a venture-backed Medicare brokerage that built AI tools to help brokers serve more than 500,000 beneficiaries. That experience shaped his approach to using data and software to improve complex, relationship-driven industries.
Byron grew up around his family’s adhesive business, where he started filing invoices as a teenager and learned formulation from his grandfather. Most recently, he modernized its backend software systems and strengthened the R&D process to develop new epoxies for medical, aerospace, and optical applications.
At Diftar, he’s returning to his roots—combining experience in industrial operations and software to acquire and grow specialty chemical companies.
